USA west coast – La La Land

Hey Guys!

In this blog I’m talking LA.

So after travelling by bus from San Francisco to LA which is about a 6 hr long journey, we arrived in West Hollywood! Firstly, the weather was so much warmer than San Fran, the nice weather everyone talks about in LA.

Hollywood Boulevard

Again apart from knowing there are stars on the ground with celebrity names on them – I had no idea what this was going to be like. And despite not having any real expectation, it was actually shocking! Seeing Hollywood on TV looks nothing like in real life this place in one word is CRAZY! People here make being Lady Gaga pretty normal. Somehow all this weirdness is really fun.

Ok so everyone goes to the Universal Studios in Hollywood, this is a must to visit.

Tip: when in Hollywood, use the Subway. It is the fastest and easiest, and just like in the UK you can get an Oyster card for cheaper tickets. Much better than walking around a crowded place of crazies and I wouldn’t even begin to tell you how to drive through Hollywood, it’s manic on the roads!

Universal Studios is great fun for everyone, it is a theme park but with the different rides to the usual, because they have some real cool visual effects going on. There are costumed characters like in Disneyland and finally the studio tour which takes you behind the scenes of famous film sets and you get to see the units where live filming for shows happen.

Tip: There are live TV shows filmed here, and you can be part of the live audience for free, shows like Jimmy Kimmel. Check the show websites for tickets.
